Want your child to feel confident in the water? Stellar Swim offers swimming lessons year-round, so you can ensure your child’s confidence will continue to grow well after summer ends. Continuing swimming lessons over winter ensures that children are ready for another summer in the water.

Terms and Conditions

  • Must enroll for a minimum period of 12 weeks (inclusive of the 4 weeks free).
  • This offer is available for new joiners only, and does not apply to returning swimmers who held a contract with us earlier in 2024 or to current swimmers who book an additional lesson per week.
  • New joiners who would like to swim twice a week must use their four free lessons before booking two classes per week.
  • New students must sign their contract and set their direct debit up prior to 30 June 2024 to be eligible for the 4 free lessons.

I wanted to take the time out to single out and sing the praise of one of your Stellar team – Erica – who lives up to your name, she is ‘stellar’! Erica has taught my young son to swim since he was the age of two, until we moved into a different class this year due to preschool hours. In fact, when we came to preview the centre, it was Erica that made our decision to join up, an easy one. We have never looked back nor regretted our decision – and you will often find me on social media chats and talking to friends to recommend what a great place Stellar is, and Erica – if they can be so lucky as to have her as their swim teacher. Erica has this way about her that builds close, loving relationships with the kids she teaches. She is sweet but firm, expressive and clear, supportive and comforting. It’s a big deal for these little guys to get into the water – mine used to climb to the top of my head so as not to go under – now I can’t get him above! And it is because of Erica, telling me there was no need to rush him, that one day he would ‘get it’ and boy was she right. It’s not just Erica’s manner with the kids. She is also amazing with us parents. She is very knowledgeable, and I often observed her to be supportive of her peers – always positive, always with a smile, and often offering some coaching assistance and advice to them, sharing her experiences and observations along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I book in to Stellar Swim?

Our program runs year round. This means that you can book in for classes at any time that is convenient for you. As our pool is heated to 32 degrees all year round so no matter the weather outside, your child will always be comfortable in their lessons in our pool – even in winter!

How do I pay for lessons at Stellar Swim?

All lessons at Stellar Swim are paid by weekly direct debit which is processed on Mondays.

Can I trial your classes before I sign up?

Absolutely! We offer all new joiners an obligation free trial so they can experience our program before committing to ongoing lessons.

How long do I need to book for?

Learning to swim and survive takes time which is why when you book in with Stellar Learn to Swim, you book for a minimum of three months at time.

What if I am going to miss a lesson?

We understand that you cannot always attend your lesson. Each student is eligible for six make up lessons per calendar year. To access these, please notify swim@stellarcanberra.com.au of your absence ahead of the lesson time and our team will assist you in booking a make up class. Please note make up lessons are only valid for use in the same year as the missed class. For more information, please email our Swim team.

We also offer a $5 per week freeze, we require a minimum of 14 days’ notice to process freeze requests. Find out more and submit your request here.

What if I need to cancel my lessons?

We require 14 days’ notice for all cancellations. Please click here if you would like to cancel your lessons.
